Holiday travelers at Denver International Airport (DIA) were surprised with an entertaining treat when a flash mob broke out in Jeppesen Terminal on November 22nd, 2011. Approximately 100 dancers from Community-Minded Dance (cmDance) performed a Lindy Hop to a medley of Swing classics in the airport’s Great Hall in Denver, Colorado. Video by Rich Clarkson & Assoc. However, when his job requires David to join the merchant marines and head to sea for five months, Connor’s idyllic life begins to unravel. His grandmother becomes sick and dies, the family home faces foreclosure, and Connor is forced to sell Flash to an unruly owner who beats the beloved horse. Algonquin College. Exam week can be stressful on students. Inspired by the Christmas Food Court Flash Mob, Hallelujah Chorus, the Television Broadcasting students at Algonquin College wanted to showcase the new Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence by lightening the mood with the help of the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir and Darth Vader. Thank you to ORYC Manager, Valerie Jerabek and Director, Kevin Reeves for agreeing to participate in this crazy idea. Thank you to the choir itself, for sharing their beautiful voices and for not minding that we subbed in a Sith Lord as conductor 45 minutes before the performance. Thank you to all the students who helped out and in particular to Television student Shane Webster who ontop of helping organizing was running back and forth from the hospital expecting his first child.
